Shirt Before, Skirt After

I had so much fun with this project! I saw someone make a men's button up shirt into a women's skirt, and I totally wanted to try! So I did! I found this great brown shirt at DI, it has some vertical brown stripes in it that I don't think you can see. On my way to the check out, I was wishing to myself that I could have found some nice lace or something to add to the bottom, and that's when I looked over and saw a white child's dress hanging- and it had some beautiful eyelet trim! Perfect! It was pretty simple to put together, and I added extra buttons, and a flower made of the same lace trim! I'm so excited about this skirt! Now, if only spring would arrive...

Flower Ring

My flower arranging teacher went to a workshop in Utah and brought some ideas back to us! Among those ideas was this flower ring, which she said could be an alternative to prom corsages. Although my ring ended up a little larger than I had anticipated, I like the idea and I'm pleased with the results!
